"The book many serious players have either been
Waiting for or Dreading"

"David Morse’s new self-published book is the book many serious players have either been waiting for or dreading. For the first time ever the closely guarded secret of "signature cards" (also known as "key cards") has been exposed. Morse has finally hit upon a practical phonetic method to remember these cards. Most of this book, however, is not about signature cards. It is about a very personal (David Morse’s) method for winning at twenty-one. It is an excellent classic training guide for learning how to count cards (Wong’s halves count is used in the discussion) and most of the important technical requirements (including bankroll requirements, bet sizing, standard deviation, estimating your advantage) are presented very well. The book’s color charts are unique and are presented in such a manner that may aid in their memorization."

"I suspect players who use similar techniques will groan
that this cat is now being let out of the proverbial bag."
Arnold Snyder, Blackjack Forum, 1998
Full Review Excerpt: (Blackjack Forum, published by RGE Publishing)
This self-published spiral-bound book by former professional player David Morse is a book that many serious players have been waiting for. Most of this 100-page book is simply a presentation of standard card counting theory, along with a system which uses the same values as Wong’s "Halves" count. Some may like Morse's color-coding memory system. He also provides a decent presentation of bankroll requirements, bet-sizing, fluctuations, etc.
But what will most interest serious players is the 8-page chapter on what Morse describes as his "signature card" method of getting an edge. This is the most comprehensive method of how to play "sequences" that has ever been made available to the general public. Sequential tracking methods have been the closely guarded secrets of a handful of pros until now. I suspect players who use similar techniques will groan that this cat is now being let out of the proverbial bag.
An 8-page treatment is not nearly enough to cover all aspects of such play. Morse provides little information about how you would estimate your advantage, optimal bet-sizing, etc. But he does provide the theory, as well as a practical method for applying the principles of sequential tracking at the tables, and this is more than has ever been published before. This is an advanced strategy, not for beginners.
